1. Who we are
SmartKlass ("we", "us") provides interactive boards, smart mobile screens, nano boards and digital displays to schools, businesses and institutions in Nigeria. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use this website, contact us or request a demo or quote.

2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need:
- Details you give us: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, organisation name and type, location, number of rooms, product interest and your message, when you use our contact, demo or quote forms.
- Messages: anything you send us by WhatsApp, phone or email.
- Anonymous visit data: a random visitor ID and the time of your visit, used for our visitor counter (see Cookies).
- Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as device type and pages requested, which our hosting provider may log for security.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange demos, quotes, installation, training and support.
- To prepare and manage orders and invoices.
- To keep our website secure and prevent spam, using honeypot and captcha checks on our forms.
- To understand how many people visit the site and improve it.
- To send updates you have asked for. You can opt out at any time.
4. Our legal basis
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, we process personal data where you have given consent (for example by submitting a form), where it is needed to take steps toward or perform a contract with you, where we must meet a legal obligation, or where we have a legitimate interest that does not override your rights, such as keeping the site secure.
7. WhatsApp, links and advertising
Our WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp, which is run by a third party with its own privacy policy. This site may display sponsored content, including from Balex Events and Tours and Alex Olise & Co. If you click a sponsored link you leave our site and the other company's policies apply. Please read them before sharing information.
8. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as needed to serve you and meet legal, accounting and warranty needs, then delete or anonymise them. Visitor counter data is kept in aggregate and the daily ID lists are removed after about 35 days.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
You may ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your data where we no longer need it
- restrict or object to certain processing
- withdraw your consent at any time

11. Children
Our website is for adults acting for schools and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
